If you’re one of our 620 customers still without power following Storm Boelo, more than 500 engineers are working hard to reconnect you.

We expect most customers to be reconnected today, with a small number of customers expected to be reconnected tomorrow as our teams work through smaller and more complex faults, some affecting individual customers or small numbers of properties.

If your restoration is expected tomorrow, we’ll attempt to contact you directly with the latest information and support available. You can also check your latest expected restoration time on Power Track.

Nik Wheeler, Head of Customer Operations at SSEN Distribution, said:

We know it’s been a really challenging few days if you’re still without power, and we’re incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding. More than 500 engineers are working today to get your power back on, and we’ll keep doing everything we can to reconnect you as quickly and safely as possible.

“We’re really grateful for the many messages of support our teams have received from customers and communities. They mean a great deal to our colleagues working in challenging conditions. We’ll keep working until every customer is safely reconnected and continue supporting those who need us most in the meantime.

Supporting our customers

As part of our support package, customers without power for more than 12 hours are entitled to £30 per person for every day without power, to cover the cost of food and drink. People should keep hold of their receipts and claim costs back at https://www.ssen.co.uk/stormclaim.

In addition, customers registered for our Priority Services can claim reasonable costs for alternative accommodation if they’re without power for more than 24 hours.  If a power cut is estimated to last beyond 48 hours, all customers can benefit from this support. Customers can claim this in the same way as food and drink.
