Why would I need to de-energise and re-energise my electricity supply?
If you or a third party need to complete work that requires the power to be off, we can temporarily turn your power off (de-energise) so you can do this work safely.
We can only turn your power off for a maximum of 72 consecutive hours.
There may be a charge for this.
Before you apply, you will need:
We need this to understand why you need your power temporarily turned off (de-energised).
This helps us plan the best way to help you.
We need this so we know when we need to come back to turn your power back on (re-energise).
NOTE: We cannot permanently turn your power off (de-energise) and cannot leave your power off for longer than 72 hours.
We need this so we can send the correct specialist engineer for the job.
We need this so we can make an appointment for you.
NOTE - We will always try to book your appointment as close to the date you need.
We need this so we can make sure we can complete the job safely.
Is there a locked gate or driveway?
We advise anyone working near our electricity cables or substations to read the HSE's 'Working near electricity' guidance notes by clicking here.
