All customers affected by Storm Boelo have now had their power restored, following several days of difficult work by more than 500 engineers including those of our contract partners and other network operators, as well as support staff, across the north of Scotland.
Engineers have been working to repair damage caused by the storm, including a large number of smaller, complex and remote faults affecting individual properties and small groups of customers.
With all customers now reconnected, our teams will continue working over the coming days to complete repairs and bring the network back to full operational health.
Nik Wheeler, Head of Customer Operations at SSEN Distribution, said:
“We’re pleased to have now reconnected all of our customers affected by Storm Boelo.
“It’s been a difficult few days, particularly for those customers who were without power for the longest, and we want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while our teams worked to safely repair the damage and restore supplies.
“We’d also like to thank the communities we serve for the support they’ve shown our teams throughout the storm. It really has meant a great deal to everyone working out on the network.
“While everyone is now reconnected, our work doesn’t stop here. Our teams will continue over the coming days to complete repairs and bring the network back to full operational health.”
