How to Take Part in Flexibility
The first time you participate there are several steps that you need to take.

To participate in Flexibility Services with SSEN, you will follow our standard process that takes place on our Market Platform, ElectronConnect, which is as follows:
Pre-qualification
Register on ElectronConnect and fill out the Pre-Qualification Standard Template.
Contracting
Once pre-qualified, you accept the Terms and Conditions of the overarching agreement during the set time window. Subject to satisfactory due diligence checks, you sign the Overarching Agreement. After approval, you’ll be eligible for future bidding opportunities.
Prepare for Bidding
For a seamless process for market entry, SSEN will take you through the onboarding process to prepare you for bidding into short-term and long-term markets. Ensure you meet the market rules for bidding into short-term and long-term markets. You access tender requirements through ElectronConnect or the SSEN Document Library and prepare your cost and volume submissions.
Bidding
When the bidding window opens, submit your bids for eligible assets that are located in the areas we are seeking flexibility through ElectronConnect. We will review, accept or reject and notify you.
Delivering Flexibility Services
If your bids are accepted, follow dispatch instructions to deliver the agreed flexibility services.
Payment
After delivery is confirmed via meter readings and performance reports, submit your invoice and receive payment from SSEN.
