    We have commenced our Pentland Firth East cable replacement works

    We have commenced our core work programme to replace one of the two submarine electricity distribution cables connecting Orkney to mainland Scotland, ensuring strengthened resilience of electricity supply to the islands ahead of the coming winter.


    We have successfully completes Jura – mainland submarine cable replacement

    A project to replace the submarine electricity cable connecting the Isle of Jura to Tayvallich in Argyll is now complete, following a cable fault in November 2019. This work returns the network to normal operation and will ensure a safe and reliable supply of electricity to the islands of Jura, Islay and Colonsay.


    New subsea cable to Cumbrae up and running, with innovative technology set to be installed

    Our project to replace one of the two electricity subsea cables connecting Cumbrae to Bute is now complete, with new additional fault detection technology set to be used to ensure future monitoring.”
