Meet Asha
We’ve teamed up with Asha to share her perspective on why Priority Services matter to her.
Asha is a Deaf paediatric nurse in critical care, an educator, and an advocate based in London. A bilateral hearing aid user, she entered nursing without ever having had Deaf role models to look up to, and she now uses her platform to provide that inspiration for others.
How we support deaf & hard of hearing customers
We know power cuts can cause extra worries if you’re deaf or hard of hearing - from not being aware of safety alarms, missing updates, or needing to charge communication or hearing devices.
We’ll make sure you get advance notice of planned power cuts or severe weather, so you can feel prepared and in control. This gives you time to charge essential equipment such as hearing aids, vibrating alarms, or other communication devices, ensuring they’re ready before any disruption.
