Shona Horn from SSEN receiving first prize for 'the best presented small trade stand' at this year's Turriff Show.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has been crowned the winner of 'the best presented small trade stand' at this year's Turriff Show.
Teams from SSEN's North Caledonia region are attending the biggest two-day agricultural show in Scotland, talking to customers about the extra support on offer, the importance of staying safe near the electricity network and promoting it's 'Look out, look up!' farm safety campaign.
SSEN's attendance at the event forms part of a wider safety awareness programme this summer as it attends agricultural events around the north of Scotland. Employees have been out and about promoting valuable safety advice to farmers and agricultural employees working near SSEN's electricity network, reminding them to stay safe around overhead lines and electrical equipment.
Shona Horn, Customer Relationship Manager for SSEN's North Caledonia region, said:
"The agricultural show calendar in the north of Scotland provides us with a great opportunity to share vital safety messages with our customers and their children, particularly those involved in the farming industry to help keep them safe as they work near our network."
"We're delighted to take away first prize for best presented small trade stand at the Turriff Show this year which is one of the biggest in our annual safety calendar. We look forward to meeting visitors at our stand today and talking through the services we provide to support our customers."

Not forgetting any kids attending the event, SSEN is also providing school children with its Power Pack Pals educational resource, helping young people understand how electricity works, and most importantly, how to stay safe around it.

- Are dependent on electricity for home medical care
