This week Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is holding two stakeholder engagement events in Portsmouth and Bournemouth and is calling upon all those interested in shaping southern England's energy future to sign up.

As a distribution network operator, SSEN is part of the most fundamental shake-up of the industry in recent memory; with electric vehicles, small scale renewable generation, new energy storage technologies and changing consumer behaviour all instrumental in how we'll face the future.

As a strong supporter of the UK's net zero emissions target, SSEN has committed to investing in electricity network flexibility and infrastructure to help accommodate 10 million electric vehicles (EVs) in GB by 2030. The events will provide an opportunity for you to give your thoughts on what is importance in the transition to a new energy world and inform SSEN's decision making process.

Listening to its customers and stakeholders is key to helping SSEN understand what its electricity networks might look like in the decades to come and what it needs to do to continue to meet the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders.

With this in mind, two stakeholder events will be held in SSEN's central southern England distribution area, which serves over three million customers.

The sessions will expand on topics including Safety, Connections, Reliability, Environment, Innovation and Customer Service with presentations and discussions on how SSEN is investing in the low carbon economy, supporting customers in vulnerable situations, and shaping the future and next price control.

All are welcome to attend the events listed below, with further information and registration available through the SSEN website here -https://www.ssen.co.uk/events/
