Our Resilient Communities Fund (RCF) was set up in 2014 and is designed to help local community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations improve their resilience, especially during the rare occasions there is a power cut, for example during a storm or extreme weather event.
Grants of up to £20,000 are available to eligible groups, and can be used for a wide range of projects, with the over-riding aim being that the purchases must help make the local area more resilient.
A great example of how the RCF has been able to help can be seen at Surrey Search and Rescue, who have received over £51,000 since the fund first started. If you click on the photo above, you can see how they've put the funding to good use and how it can help the communities in and around Surrey.
