An Andover father and son have put their walking boots on and raised £475 for Naomi House and Help for Heroes by taking part in this year's House2House charity walk.

Paul Roberts and his son, Allan, took part in the 20-mile walk which started in Sutton Scotney and ended in Tidworth. Thanks to the generosity of Paul's colleagues in SSEN, the amount he was personally able to raise came in at £475, which is the highest amount raised by one individual so far.

Paul explains more about the walk and how he got involved: "I'd heard about House2House from my son Allan, as he is friends with one of the organisers, and as it's all about raising money for two fantastic charities he signed me up straight away. 20 miles through some beautiful Hampshire countryside is a great way to help Naomi House and Help for Heroes, and thankfully we had good weather on the day, so it made the whole experience that little bit more special."

The walk was all about raising as much money as possible, and Paul is grateful for all the support he received from his colleagues at SSEN both before and after the walk: "I'd like to say a big 'thank you' to my colleagues for their generous donations, it means a lot to me to be able to hand over the money to these two charities where I'm sure every penny will be put to good use."
