Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is committed to delivering the best customer service at all times, and engaging with its customers is one of the key ways it can improve the service it offers.

Over the last two years SSEN's Incentive on Connections Engagement (ICE) teams have been hosting biannual Connections Customer Steering Panels in the company's central southern England and north of Scotland network regions. The latest of these sessions was held earlier this week in the Ageas Bowl, home to Hampshire County Cricket Club, near Southampton.

The event was a great success, with over 30 guests from various customer groups, including local authorities, house builders and renewable energy developers, coming together to offer their views on the service they are currently receiving and, where the need arose, making suggestions as to how it can be improved.

Speaking after the session, Colin Nicol, SSEN's Managing Director, said: "I'd like to thank everyone who came along today and for making this such a successful event. These customer events, for Connections in particular, are critically important for SSEN. We need feedback from our customers to understand where we are doing well, and to get a better appreciation of the areas where we need to improve. The learnings from today have been very helpful and constructive and something that we can further build on going forward."

The next Connections Customer Steering Panel will be held in Perth on 30 November; if you would like to attend please click here.
