  • Stage 1 Connections

If you are installing a single small scale generation system that complies with EREC G83/2 or G98 then follow the Single G83/2 or G98 Stage 1 Connection process described below. Additionally, if you plan to install an energy storage device along with your generation, then you may qualify for the Energy Storage Fast Track Connection Process described below, which simplifies the installation of energy storage devices.

    Multiple G83/ 2-1 or G98 Stage 2 Connections

Due to the constrained capacity available in some areas of the network, you may have to wait for the reinforcement to connect even where your proposed aggregate generation capacity is 50kW or less.

The process below will allow us to assess the entire generation plant which will be affected by your installations either:
As part of a planned development you intend to install generation at multiple locations in close proximity, or
You intend to connect additional generation to a single metering point which already has some generation plant connected.

Once we have received your application it will be dealt with as displayed at the bottom of this page.

Once we have processed your application and agreed the connection you need to complete and return the commissioning confirmation and type verification test sheet within 28 days of commissioning. You can email the commissioning notification using the contact details on the side of this page.

You can find out more by taking a look at the guide for connection generation within ENA ER G83/2-1 or G98.
